Lily Frost & Guests Celebrate FRANK SINATRA’S 100TH BIRTHDAY
West end Toronto singer-songwriter Lily Frost performs with friends, live at the Zoomer Radio, AM 740 studio, in celebration of Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday. Frost is curating the event, to be heard on the dial at AM 740 and will include a stellar list of artists such as Micah Barnes, Amy Sky, Alex Pangman, Ted Hawkins, Amelie Lefebvre (who will sing in French), Alexis O’Hara – the niece of Mary Margaret hails from Montreal and plays ukulele – and Big Rude Jake.
Toronto singer-songwriter Lily Frost – who just released the single “ROBOTango” from her new DREAMSPEED (Aporia Records) project with Toronto-based Slakah The Beatchild – is thrilled to be bringing together a topnotch group of musicians to Zoomer Radio, for a live, in-studio celebration of the 100th birthday of ol’ blue eyes, Frank Sinatra. A cast of Canada’s best will perform their unique renditions of some of Sinatra’s classics in front of a live audience in the studio.
Along with the headliners is a terrific house band led by the extremely dexterous Michael Herring on double bass with jazz ace Nathan Hiltz on guitar, the fabulous Matt Newton on piano, on drums the famous Nick Fraser and featuring the fiery Allison Young on saxophone.
Also on hand will be a few of the Hammer Hoppers dance troop to lead everyone through some swinging dance steps.
