Local organization kicking off movement to support immigrant women in business
Giving new Canadians the chance to succeed in business at the Immigrant Women’s Small Business Expo
The Immigrant Women’s Small Business Expo returns to Toronto on November 8th at the Atlantis Pavilion. Organized by the Canadian Small Business Women (CSBW), this unique expo is designed to provide small business start-up information to women who are new to Canada.
Featuring workshops and seminars on small business-related topics such as branding, marketing, and financing, there is also a tradeshow with over 40 exhibitors offering services for aspiring and current small business owners.
“Over 3.5 million women in Canada are immigrants,” says Dwania Peele, CEO and founder of CSBW. “I wanted to create a support platform for these women who are new to Canada that is both a source of information as well as a movement to champion women in business.”
With sponsors like Vistaprint Canada, Staples Canada, and Constant Contact involved, the event attracts huge crowds annually.
