The Canadian Olympic Foundation raises funds to help our best athletes reach the Olympic podium by eliminating the financial barriers to their success. The funding allows sports to recruit world-class coaches as well as the best specialists in nutrition, sports medicine and technical support. Various programs aim to create an environment that maximises the athlete performance. The Foundation works collaboratively with key partners to ensure the optimal development of athletes, including the National Sport Institutes in seven cities across the country and the Canada Games, a springboard for many Olympians. Support can be offered to individual athletes identified as potential medallists or to sport federations to address the specific needs of their sports.
