IMMIGRANT FAIR IN TORONTO WAS HUGE SUCCESS WITH RECORD ATTENDANCE
Canadian Immigrant magazine’s Career, Education & Settlement Immigrant Fair, on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, was a huge success, seeing record attendance, with 1,100+ attendees and 60 exhibitors. The event obviously struck a chord in the immigrant community, who are seeking support and resources in their immigration journey.
Presented in association with Centennial College, this free event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (255 Front St. W.) included:
– A tradeshow of exhibitors including employers (some hiring onsite!), settlement agencies and
– Our popular day-long Resumé Clinic;
-Speed Mentoring Marathon by ACCES Employments (11a.m.-2p.m.);
– Inspirational speakers’ program, including:
An inspirational keynote address by talent spotter Chandran Fernando of Matrix Search
The emotional personal journey of a Syrian refugee Nanor Balyozian
The first onsite accent reduction workshop at the fair
The first Q & A panel session “Top Tips for Job Search Success” was a big hit!
+ Returning session on going back to school by Ashley Evans of Centennial College, and becoming a CPA by Carmen Jacques of CPA-Ontario
