Mississauga Centre kicks campaign into full gear
‘NDP MP Candidate Farheen Khan launches campaign office in historic part of Mississauga’
On Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Credit Woodlands plaza, NDP MP Candidate Farheen Khan will launch her campaign office as she makes her bid for Mississauga Centre.
“Now that summer is over, you can expect my team to be in full swing,” says Ms. Khan. “Mr. Harper called the election early, not only costing us millions but also interfering with many Mississauga resident’s family vacation times.” Says Ms. Khan. “Growing up 12 minutes from here, I was 1 of 7 children, so I understand how important these summers are for families.”
To kick off the launch, former Chair of the United Way of Peel’s South Asian Advisory Council, Community advocate and long-time Mississauga resident Esa Para Esananda will be alongside Ms. Khan as well as other key community members and supporters. Ms. Khan will also be joined by Ontario NDP Deputy Leader Jagmeet Singh. The launch will include a ribbon cutting, guest speakers, lunch and performances from students from the local high school, Woodlands Secondary School.
“As I continue to knock on doors” says Khan. “I have been speaking to many residents and they like many Canadians are ready for a change that they can trust.”
