对于大部分司机朋友来说，当你收到一张超速罚单之后，一段时间以内你都会小心开车，不再重犯。不过，并不是每个人都是这样。根据多伦多最新公布的数据，今年8月，一位多伦多司机就在市中心，Adelaide Street West以南的Brant Street上被抓获超速12次。
在今年夏季的最后一个月(8月)，多伦多的测速摄像头(被称之为“自动测速执法(Automated Speed Enforcement，简称ASE)”设备就抓获1,400名“惯犯”。这位拿到12张罚单的司机就是其中一位。
位于大多伦多的50台设备在8月共签发了25,224张罚单，而在9月份又签发了23,163张罚单。不过，9月份的重犯人数有所减少，为1,118人，但三名司机被抓的次数比大部分人都多。
在一个月的时间里，一名司机因在靠近60 Park Lane Circle拿到六张罚单，而另一名司机在Burnhamthorpe Road以北的Mill Road上超速收到六张罚单，第三名司机在Grange Avenue以南的Denison Avenue拿到四张罚单。在8月和9月，罚单之最都是Algonquin Avenue以南的Parkside Drive上，分别签发了2,356和2,279张罚单。
2022年年度内，ASE测到的“严重超速(Excessive speeding，也就是超过限速50公里/小时或更多)”事件247次。迄今为止，在Garfella Drive以北的Martin Grove Road上所检测到的，在限速50公里/小时路段，速度达到146公里/小时，算是惊人！
众所周知，ASE罚单不会产生任何扣分，也不会影响一个人的驾驶记录，自然也不影响你的汽车保险费用。罚款额度取决于司机朋友超速行驶时的速度。
一个不好的消息的是，在目前50台设备的基础上，明年2月会再添加25台，也就是说每一个选区(Ward)会有三台。这些新的设备将安装在下面的路口：
